Manifesting
How the idea of visiting Mexico manifested into traveling to other remote destinations has a simple explanation. Monterrey, Mexico, wasn’t the first desired destination. A revelation began manifesting which provided insight to the future of the current project.
Time Passages
By the time August arrived the mural had been undeniably reflective of the nature the path had taken.
RUBBER MEETS THE ROAD
The trip leaving Austin, Texas, USA, received respective planning when the fruit was ripe for harvest. While supporting a developing project near Austin, Texas, USA, a retreat center was a ruse in a hasty and greedy decision to construct an AirBnB style conference center. Sadly, the investors were less than honorable and misrepresented their intentions. Upon realization the previously stated intentions were at best opaque, the escape plan began development. The volunteer program continued as did other projects. When projects could not be resolved due to the lack of volunteers, completion of multiple projects was placed on hold. This became a major catalyst in determining departure and travel considerations. By the time September arrived, an entire plan had been established including stop points, departure dates and destinations. The exit strategy would be as precise as a covert military operation. And, it proved later to be exactly that.
REASONABILITY
The first reasonable probability finding my community was visiting Mexico; Monterrey, to be precise. At first the idea felt absolutely absurd. However, upon reflection of the previous several months, the concept became more realistic and obtainable. The desire to travel, to escape, was a factor supporting this decision. Monterrey, Mexico was a safe and reasonable destination in the event returning to these United States of America was necessary. Yes, a short visit to Monterrey was a very reasonable venture prior to the possibility of immersing myself into entirely foreign cultures. This had been the general idea at this point.
Although this was reasonable, it felt that “reasonable” was something that I had been living the past several years. When establishing a baseline by which to measure “reasonable”, however, it was soon realized there was a distant vision of reasonability. Comparatively, there was very little that may have remotely resembled “reasonable”.
CROSSING BRIDGES
Goodbye, USA! Hello, Mexico!
