From the ISU Web Site:
“Idaho State University was founded in 1901 and has grown to be one of the most comprehensive institutions in the country. The University is one of only six institutions in the US offering programs from technical certificates through graduate and professional degrees. As the state’s designated lead institution in health professions, Idaho State is home to more than 75 percent of Idaho’s health degree programs. Idaho State attracts students from around the world to its campus locations in Pocatello, Meridian, Idaho Falls, and Twin Falls.”
Bowman Farm
During our travels we had the honor of meeting Matthew and Charelle (Walker) Bowman. Bowman Farm is an organic, bio-engineering free fruit and vegetable farm slightly south of Pocatello, Idaho. We were invited to attend the final Tuesday market located at their farm, and we were definitely not going to take a pass on this opportunity.
With only a couple weeks remaining for the local seasonal farmers market where the Bowman Farm nutrient dense produce would be available, visiting the farm for the final Tuesday of the season was surely going to be an event worth attending.
We arrived only moments before the stand opened, and the musicians from Idaho State University arrived who would donate their time and talents to the two-hours long market. There was a noticeable sense of community and fellowship from every person we encountered, and all were kind and courteous in a way that is rarely experienced in many larger communities. We were correct, the event was beyond phenomenal.
A HUGE “Thank you” to all who contributed their gifts and talents to make this a memorable experience. A personal appreciation is extended to John, Alex, Reese and Ben: many thanks.
Please note that this (nearly) 23 minute recording has not been digitally mastered is far from studio quality. However, we hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.
