The Usui System of Natural Healing – is a Japanese Healing Art. This form was founded in Japan a little over 100 years ago a by Mikao Usui, whose personal search to understand healing led him to Reiki.
The Japanese word ‘Reiki’ can be translated as ‘universal life energy’ and the Usui System is a way of working with Reiki for healing of self and others. The word healing is used in the sense of regaining harmony and wholeness.
Early in 2014 the journey to master Reiki began. This aligned with other modalities of Bodywork and Tantra Arts, which being trained in both were in alignment with Reiki. Enrolling in Reiki classes to become certified lead to completing course work and fulfilling the apprenticeships and practical application brought me to obtaining both Level I and Level II Usui Reiki Certification.
The journey with Usui Reiki became apparent in 2005 following a significant event. The event prompted investigating similar incidents reported by others who explained the experience as a direct line to the spirit realm enabling many unknown abilities. Eventually the concept of energy healing, or Reiki, Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, or Usui Reiki, and the ability to unite on deep energetic levels became impeccably clear.
Nine Elements were learned which included Oral Tradition, Spiritual Lineage, History, Initiation, Symbols, Treatment, Form, Monetary Exchange and Precepts. The principles throughout these teachings closely reminded me of the 12 Universal Laws and the significance in remaining honorable to this system.
